The Otter Swimming Club

The Otters Swimming Club recently celebrated its 150th birthday in 2019. It is one of the oldest and most well-known clubs in London, and boasts an impressive competetive history in swimming.

Otter swimmers train for, and compete in, club, region, national, and international Masters' competitions. They currently boast a number of Masters Swimming World, European and British, individual and relay, record holders. Several of their members also compete in triathlons and open water events including channel swimming.

Pimlico Puffins

Who are they?

Pimlico Puffins is a swimming club for those who have a learning or physical disability who would like to learn to swim or exercise in the water. All ages, size, shapes and characters come to their club to enjoy a swim.

They are affiliated to the Halliwick Association of Swimming Therapy. They are part of a network of approximately 25 clubs in our area, Halliwick ASTRA (Regional Association) 1 which is part of Greater London, North of the Thames.

What do they do?

Well, firstly they have fun! While doing so, they aim to provide a safe and pleasant environment in which people with disabilities can swim. The pool is closed to the public during Puffins sessions so you can enjoy the pool in private.

The social aspect of the Club is as important as the swimming. They pride themselves on the friendly atmosphere of our Club and hope that you will make new friends.

St Stephens, Rochester Row

St Stephens on Rochester Row was constructed in 1847, and has been integral to the local community ever since.

With regular services, this church is very active. But the church offers far more than just services, with:

  • Baby & Toddler Coffee Mornings

  • Evergreen club (for over 50’s)

  • Silent hour

  • St Stephens Stitchers

  • Tea @ 3

  • Zumba lessons

At St Stephen's you will find not only a beautiful building with an interesting history, but a friendly and very mixed community of people, most of whom live locally, who come together week by week to worship God.
